Carter always had WVU on his mind

WVSports.com Against the nation's top athletes in the 2009 class, Pompano Beach (Fla.) Ely corner Michael Carter entered the Army All-American Bowl with a decision to make. Rivals' No. 12 cornerback (No. 139 overall) had previously visited West Virginia, Minnesota and Florida. With just under nine minutes remaining in the third quarter, Carter-father Mike, Sr., at side-pledged his commitment to the Mountaineers.
"I didn't even decide until two days ago (Thursday)," said Carter via cell phone.
The 5-foot-11, 154-pounder played coy when Saturday morning reports surfaced of a Blue-and-Gold announcement.
