Marks explains decision to enter draft
Sen'Derrick Marks said it was tough but he feels positive he made the right decision in foregoing his senior season at Auburn and entering the 2009 NFL Draft.
"I went home and talked with all my family and prayed about it and that's the decision I came to," Marks said. "I just feel good about this decision. I think it's the best way to go."
Marks said he made the decision before receiving his draft evaluation from the NFL but is confident he'll be picked up in the first two rounds.
"I wouldn't have left if I didn't think I would be a first-day pick so I have a feeling I'll be a first-day pick," Marks said.
Marks didn't totally close the door on a potential change of heart. He said he was faxing in his NFL papers Tuesday but had until Jan. 15 to pull out of the draft as long as he doesn't sign with an agent.
