Greenville (Miss.) St. Joseph running back LaDarius Perkins, committed to Auburn since June, spoke with new Tiger head coach Gene Chizik Friday.

It was Perkins' first time to speak with Chizik.

"It went really good," said Perkins, 5-foot-9, 180 pounds. "He sounded like a nice guy, pretty cool. He was asking me if I was committed and telling me that my scholarship was still there if I wanted it.
