Hurst talks about Bulldogs offer
In just two short months, James Hurst has become a sought after commodity.
The 6-foot-5, 275-pound junior offensive tackle has an impressive list of scholarships but the first offer he received was from Mississippi State.
"They were the first to offer me," Hurst said. "I think it was pretty special. I think that started everything that has happened to me so far. It made me realize that I meant that much to them that they would look at me that early."
Since their initial offer, Hurst said the Bulldog coaching staff has stayed in constant contact with him.
"They definitely are contacting me," Hurst said. "I get a note or two every week. I get mail every other day or so from them."
Hurst is very familiar with the Bulldogs program, where his brother, Nelson Hurst, is a freshman tight end. But while the thought of lining up beside his brother does intrigue him, it will not effect his decision.
