Tough one to swallow
ATLANTA, GA -- Every Florida State player on the field and on the sideline knew the game was in hand. Just as they had done 16 years earlier under the direction of Charlie Ward, the Seminoles were engineering an exciting fourth quarter comeback against Georgia Tech in Atlanta.
There was just one problem, the game wasn't over yet.
It took just three plays for the 52,528 fans in Bobby Dodd Stadium to know that Florida State was going to come from behind again. But it took just one play, a Marcus Sims fumble on the 1-yard line, to reverse the fortunes of both teams and turned a sure FSU victory into a heart-stopping defeat.
