Releford was always sold on Kansas

JayhawkSlant.com When KU took the court last week for media day, there were a lot of unfamiliar faces. In all, seven new players, five freshmen and two junior college transfer, met the media for the first time. While Travis Releford, the 6-foot-5, 200-pound shooting guard from Bishop Miege High School in Shawnee, Kan., is a new face to the program, he is a player that most, if not all, Kansas fans are familiar with by now. Jayhawk Slant sat down with Releford during media day and touched on a number of topics.
In all, five freshmen, Quintrell Thomas, Tyshawn Taylor, Markieff Morris, Marcus Morris and Releford signed with Kansas out of high school. Two junior college players, Mario Little and Tyrone Appleton, round out KU's seven man class.
