Bulldogs finish Thursday practice strong
Much like a lot of their games last season, the Mississippi State Bulldogs started practice slowly but finished strong.
The Bulldogs returned to the practice fields after a four-session layoff indoors for a three-hour workout.
"We were a little bit sluggish today," said head coach Sylvester Croom. "We started off slow and that's something we are trying to work against. We want to start faster but we finished up strong."
Croom said part of the concern for the slow start had to do with his defense's performance during 9-on-7 drills.
"We've got to start faster on defense," Croom said. "Our defense didn't start fast on 9-on-7. Our offense totally dominated on 9-on-7 today and that's not good. We've got to be able to run the ball a lot but we've got to be able to stop it on defense."
