Two Sport Star To Attend Blazer Camp
A fourth state championship ring is on the way to the home of two-sport star Clint Moseley. Moseley led the Leroy Bears to the 2A state baseball championship last month over Mars Hill Bible. Moseley led his team with a .475 batting average and an 11-2 record as a starting pitcher. When not pitching he was the starting shortstop. He was named to the Birmingham News Super All-State team.
However, this Saturday the focus will be football. Moseley, who was also the 2A player of the year in football and the MVP of the Super Six Championship game, will be attending a UAB prospects camp in Mobile.
"I'm doing the UAB camp this Saturday then I'm doing a baseball camp at Faulkner next week. After that I'm doing football camps in Tuscaloosa, Memphis and at South Alabama. That's what I'll be doing in June," he said.
"In July I have two baseball tournaments, the North-South tournament in Huntsville and then a tournament in Troy. I have a summer league game today," he said.
Moseley has picked up additional offers from Arkansas State and South Alabama. He is also hearing from Troy, Jacksonville State, UCF, Southern Miss, Marshall, Alabama and Woffard.
However, he is somewhat torn on what sport to play in college. "I will pick one sport in college," he told Blazer Sports Report. "I had pretty much settled on football but I'm starting to get some good looks in baseball. I'm going to look at both and see which presents the best opportunity."
Moseley's first offer came from UAB and his first summer camp will be with the Blazers but right now he claims no frontrunners. "I haven't spoken to any coaches in about two weeks."
Moseley has a busy summer split between football camps and baseball. Blazer Sports Report will keep up with his progress and keep you informed on what schools and which sport finally wins Moseley over.
