The Indiana coaching staff has long maintained that it wants to continue to improve the team's overall speed. Getting a commitment from Pike safety Dakotah Tyler would be a step in that direction.

IU became the first school to offer the 6-0, 205-pound Tyler earlier this week. Derek Moyers, his prep coach at Pike, says that Tyler's athleticism is what attracted Indiana and other programs.
