State's Best Preparing For Busy Summer
If you're Leslie McDonald, life is pretty good right now. A summer's worth of travel and basketball awaits, then the selection of pretty much any college he wants to attend. If you're one of the handful of college coaches chasing McDonald and hoping for a the chance to snag him, then there's a lot of uncertainty in the air.
McDonald (6-foot-4, 195 pounds), from Memphis' Briarcrest Christian, has been on the Vols' radar as a prospect since his freshman year in high school. Now that he's rachd the all-important-at least in recruiting-summer prior to his senior year, Tennessee is recruiting him as hard as ever. But the Vols are hardly alone.
In fact, this one looks eerily familiar to last year's high-profile battle for the 'Best Player In Memphis', Elliot Williams, a battle eventually won by Duke.
Rivals.com rates McDonald as a four-star prospect, the No. 9 shooting guard in the Class of 2009 and the No. 32 overall prospect in the nation.
