Scheelhaase looking forward to busy summer
Rockhurst High School has been the hotspot for college recruiters to visit this spring. Big-time college football programs are rushing to get a closer look at Nathan Scheelhaase, the 6-foot-3, 184-pound dual-threat quarterback. The four-star prospect and member of the Rivals250 has emerged as one of the most heavily recruited players in the class of 2009. Scheelhaase was in Lawrence for KU's spring game and spoke to Jayhawk Slant about his visit.
Scheelhaase caught the attention of big time college football programs during his junior season at Rockhurst. In guiding the Hawklets to a state championship, the four-star prospect completed 86-of-137 passes for 1, 861 yards and tossed 20 touchdowns to just five interceptions.
