Video: Staten on Gantt's progress, Jordan's move
EAST LANSING - With the graduation of Eric Andino and Kellen Freeman-Davis, who looks like he will be one of top tight ends taken in this year's NFL Draft, Michigan State needed to have a strong spring from sophomore tight end Charlie Gantt.
The former Brother Rice standout came on strong during Michigan State's December bowl practices and Gantt even saw some playing time in the Champs Sports Bowl. Gantt has picked up where he left off during bowl practice and has begun to show signs that he is ready to step into the role of No. 1 tight end for Michigan State.
