Smith survives the fire, ready to become a force
Only two members of Florida State's 2007 recruiting class saw the field last season. One of them, Rodney Hudson, was a major part of the Seminole offensive line starting 10 games but the other, Kendall Smith, was used almost exclusively a special teams.
That changed in the Music City Bowl.
Thanks to massive suspensions on the defensive side of the football, Smith was forced to grow up overnight and started his first ever game college game against Kentucky at Sam (strong-side) linebacker.
