Houston QB visits Oklahoma State
With offers in the pocket from Houston, Arizona and Stanford, Friendswood (Texas) quarterback Jacob Karam unofficially visited Oklahoma State Thursday and came away extremely impressed with the Cowboy program.
"It went really well," he said. "The facilities are incredible and I really hit it off with the coaches. They are up and coming and there is no reason why they won't be on the national scene in the next few years. It was awesome."
Karam has visited Houston, Notre Dame, Northwestern, Louisville, Texas Tech and OSU, and plans on taking two more trips before shutting the early recruiting down.
"I'm going to check out the Arizona schools," he said. "These trips are a lot of fun and I really appreciate my parents taking me on them, but I'm ready to be at home for awhile. It's been a very educational experience, and it's helped me understand that it's just as important to know what you don't want in a school as it is what you do want."
The gun-slinging Texan, who has thrown for over 4,500 yards and 45 touchdowns in two seasons, is excited about his upcoming senior season and playing in college.
"I'm ready to tee it up right now," he said. "I really can't wait. We want La Marque and Dickinson right now. As far as college goes, I think one of the coolest aspects about playing Division I football is playing against guys I went up against in high school who will all be at different schools."
