Lynch expects Polk and Thigpen to stay put
To accommodate needs in other areas and shore up depth charts, Indiana has had to switch some key players to different positions in the recent past.
Marcus Thigpen moved over to running back from receiver nearly two years ago, and Nick Polk switched to the defensive side of the ball during spring ball last year, becoming a safety after earning some freshman All-American honors as a receiver in his first year on the field.
But now that the Hoosiers have experienced some success and some of the younger players have had a chance to develop, speculation has begun that players like Polk and Thigpen might move back to their original positions. Head coach Bill Lynch addressed some of that speculation at his end of the year press conference last week.
