Richt and staff visit Rivals250 LB
Georgia Head Coach Mark Richt and a couple of Bulldog coaches traveled to Virginia this week to visit Rivals250 linebacker Marcus Dowtin. Dowtin made a big jump up to number 140 in the new rankings and he is getting ready for signing day.
"Coach Richt, Coach [Tony] Ball and Coach [John] Jancek all came up to our house for a visit," said Dwayne Dowtin, Marcus' father. "They came up for a couple hours, we just talked for a while, watched some of the All-American game and we had a great time."
The three Georgia coaches visited their Georgia commitment and let him know how happy they were about getting him to Athens.
"They were telling Marcus and all of how excited they are to have him, how they want to get him there as soon possible and how they think he could play inside or outside linebacker there," said Mr. Dowtin.
Georgia linebacker coach John Jancek is still not sure where the 6-foot-2, 215-pound linebacker will line up for him, but he has an idea of the weight he wants him to arrive to Athens at.
