St. Louis back stands out at Army combine
New Michigan head coach Rich Rodriguez is preaching speed as the theme of future recruiting classes and last week there were several class of 2009 prospects who list speed as their most impressive quality, maybe none more than St. Louis (Mo.) University running back Ronnie Wingo.
The 6-2, 206-pound Wingo first made his name as a track star, winning the the AAU Junior Olympics national championship in the 200 meters. Football has also come naturally to Wingo and this past season he accumulated 1,500 rushing yards, 200 receiving yards and 17 total touchdowns. He talked about what he believes stands out most about his game following the Army combine last Friday.
