Top 09 QB on the verge?
Mississippi State bumped their record up to 4-2 over the weekend, with coach Sly Croom's first bowl game within grasp, and with Rivals 100-to-watch QB Chris Garrett sitting in the stands, the timing couldn't have been better. The timing was so good, in fact, it almost resulted in something the Bulldogs could hang their hat on for years to come, but not quite. Garrett talked about the weekend experience, his breakout game Friday, and how his whole weekend went.
With parents holding season tickets to MSU and with a brother already enrolled at State, that thought process is not surprising to many. Those family ties actually played a big role in the weekend's events.
As one of the top recruits in the region, and at a position where the Magnolia State is not as prominent as at other slots, what does a player in this situation look for while watching a game?
