Henderson comes full circle
Midway through the second quarter last Saturday at Wake Forest, Maryland linebacker Erin Henderson began to move toward Riley Skinner, duping Wake's all-conference quarterback into believing he was going to vacate his space.
As Skinner committed to throw the ball into what he thought would be an open area, Henderson began his strategic retreat and jumped into the air to spear Skinner's pass.
Henderson intercepted the ball and returned it eight yards, setting up a 26-yard Terps touchdown drive. The interception was part of a 12-tackle performance that also included a forced fumble, a recovered fumble and 1 ½ tackles for a loss.
