Notebook: Cox sparks 2nd-half surge for AU
It was a night Brandon Cox, the Auburn offense and the AU family needed.
A week after being booed and losing his starting job, Cox had his best game of the season. True freshman Kodi Burns started but it was Cox, who entered the game with 10 minutes remaining in the first half and AU trailing 20-14, that sparked the Tiger offense to 41 straight points and a 55-20 win.
"I want to brag on Brandon Cox for what he has been through," said AU head coach Tommy Tuberville. "He brought us back, showed poise and showed a lot of class. That is what Auburn is about."
