Notebook: Dunn taking bigger role
Auburn offensive coordinator Al Borges is looking for more playmakers and leaders on offense.
Robert Dunn is hoping to provide both.
Borges told the junior wideout that he would be getting more touches on offense this week, but Dunn didn't realize he was moving from slot receiver to the outside until after Sunday's practice.
"A friend called and actually told me," said Dunn. "We were at practice and I was working with the one's and I didn't know what was going on. He called and said, 'Are you the starting Z?' I said, 'No, I'm the starting slot.' He said, 'Well, an interview on Rivals said I was the starting Z.'"
Regardless of how he found out, Dunn says he's ready for the challenge.
"I'm always excited about touching the ball," said Dunn. "I'm pretty comfortable. Coach has been working me in there during the game. In certain series he'll put me in at Z. That reverse play, I was at Z then.
