Monday practice report
After spending almost an entire practice working on special teams Sunday, the Blue Devils returned to its normal practice routine on Monday. Though the squad was back to its typical workday, the morning run through was rather light with the team showing up in only shoulder pads and shorts. Head coach Ted Roof used today as an opportunity to spend a great deal of time teaching and the attitude of the players was very responsive.

"Learning how to just practice and stay on our feet is part of this process. Learning to get the speed down in practice and learning to work together is very important. Working together as a team is what a lot of it is about and the team is doing that."
For the first half of practice, the Blue Devils split up and joined their position coaches as they focused entirely on techniques and learning more about the ins and outs of each position. The running backs spent a great deal of time on pass protection and the proper ways to block an opponent.
