Offense waking up slowly
Clearly underwhelmed by what he'd already seen in the first half of Sunday's scrimmage, Jeff Jagodzinski delivered a message to his offensive players before they went back out onto the Alumni Stadium FieldTurf.
And while he didn't say it, he was talking about the offense.
"Sometimes you have to say some things to those guys to get them going," Jagodzinski said. "They responded to that so that's a good sign."
Asked about a halftime pep talk (poor wording by yours truly), Jags said, "Not so much a pep talk. It was a talk. I wouldn't call it a pep talk at all."
He laughed. Out loud. He was a lot happier than he was a few days earlier.
"It was a talk - you don't wanna be taping that, though," he said.
