Lindsay moves inside; Day 10 notebook
In high school, Jeff Lindsay literally played everywhere.
Back in those days, the Boilermaker linebacker played virtually every skill position, in some capacity, on both sides of the ball.
But after coming to Purdue thinking he might get a look at safety, and spending last year wondering if he might ultimately end up at defensive end, Lindsay has finally been able to settle into one position, a welcome situation.
"It's just learning linebacker and hitting the books for me," Lindsay said.
The results have been fairly promising.
After spending last season - he redshirted - as an outside linebacker, Lindsay has spent much of the past week in the middle, and is making his presence felt at a position where questions abound.
"I feel a lot more comfortable (in the middle)," Lindsay said.
