Practice report: Upchurch in white

TideSports.com The Alabama football team practiced in full pads Wednesday morning as the Crimson Tide reached the halfway point fall camp. A few notes from the morning session:
*** Sophomore running back Roy Upchurch wore a white jersey for the first time in fall camp, indicating medical clearance for contact. Offseason shoulder surgery prevented the Tallahassee, Fla., native from participating fully until now.
*** Freshman defensive lineman Luther Davis worked in a group with Lorenzo Washington and Brandon Deaderick on Wednesday morning.
*** Freshman defensive end Jeremy Elder wore a black non-contact jersey, which has been a constant for Elder since the team's first camp scrimmage last Saturday.
