Williams determined to excel in 2007
BOULDER, Colo. - Offensive coordinator Mark Helfrich said after Sunday's scrimmage that junior wide receiver Patrick Williams had made more plays in the previous two days than he did all of last year.
Williams caught 37 passes for 483 yards as a redshirt freshman and sophomore, but it was very evident that he had yet to reach his full potential.
"I don't know if it is so much that the light bulb [has turned on for Williams]," head coach Dan Hawkins said. "I always say confidence comes from preparation.
"Coaches can say whatever they want to say, but true confidence comes from your preparation. When you know you are ultimately prepared, then you have the ability to go out and make plays.
