Moe Brown responding to frosh competition
Moe Brown understands the pressure South Carolina's well-publicized new crop of wide receivers are feeling right now.
Last year, he was caught in the same position after signing with USC out of Westside High School in Anderson, S.C., ending a hard-fought recruiting battle with Tennessee and Maryland.
But Brown allowed the high expectations of fans and coaches to affect his play and his season ended well short of his own expectations, finishing with nine catches for 74 yards.
"I didn't have much fun last year and I told myself to have fun in the spring and let it be natural," Brown said. "So, I tried it and it worked for me. I won the Most Improved Receiver (award) in the Spring. I plan to translate that to the fall, keep my starting spot and win the SEC Championship."
