Fall camp: Pads go on
Alabama's preparations for the 2007 football season continued Tuesday as the Crimson Tide saddled up with full pads for the first time in fall camp.
Depth building at linebacker
The defensive front seven was an area of concern heading into fall camp due to a lack of depth, particularly at linebacker. Saban and his staff appear to be working hard to develop depth at each linebacker spot.
In addition to the four starters at each spot as well as their backups all seeing work, significant snaps were given to a third team of linebackers consisting of true freshman Chavis Williams at the Sam spot, newcomer Rolando McClain at the Mike, former safety Cory Reamer at the Will and Charlie Kirschman at the Jack.
