Rodgers remains open
In their last recruiting class, the Oregon State football program pulled off a feat that hadn't been done in awhile - land a recruit out of talent-rich Texas. Now that the Beavers have the electric James Rodgers in the fold they're hoping that the pipeline to the Lone Star State continues. With his younger brother Jacquizz Rodgers, a shifty 5-foot-6 running back at Lamar Consolidated High School in Rosenberg, a big-time prospect himself, it only makes sense for OSU to try and continue the recruiting success with him.
Rodgers has been one of the most productive running backs in the state, putting up mind-boggling numbers the past two seasons. As a sophomore he racked up 2,278 yards and 34 touchdowns and if that weren't enough, he upped those stats to 2,516 yards and 50 TDs as a junior.
