Purify pleas no contest; assault charges dropped
Nebraska wide receiver Maurice Purify appeared in the Lancaster County Court House on Wednesday and pleaded "no contest" on counts of trespassing, failure to comply, resisting arrest and driving under the influence. The alleged assault charges to a female against Purify were dropped in court on Wednesday.
Purify received 12 months probation and fines totaling $1250 after pleading no contest for the four charges in court on Wednesday.
Jon Braaten, the attorney of Purify, released the following statement after a court appearance by Purify in Lincoln Wednesday afternoon.
"Maurice entered a plea of no contest to an assault involving another male," Braaten said.
