Biggest reason for optimism: Succop proved he can handle double duty last year, nailing 80 percent of his field goals (16 of 20) and showing as much consistency from long range as short. He also boasted a 43-yard punting average that only missed the SEC leaders list because he had too few attempts (29).

Projected starters: kicker Brandon Coutu; punter Brian Mimbs
Top return threat: Mikey Henderson was the SEC's top punt returner last year, averaging 14.7 yards with two touchdowns.
