Savage making waves on camp circuit

AuburnSports.com Summer camps have been a boon for Huntsville (Ala.) J.O. Johnson defensive lineman Jomarcus Savage.
Last summer, the 6-foot-2, 260-pounder earned a scholarship from Tennessee after an outstanding performance at a Volunteer camp. Just a couple of weeks ago, Savage did the same at an Auburn camp, earning another big SEC offer.
His latest trip was to a Clemson camp where he looks to be closing in on another offer. While Savage didn't compete at the Clemson camp as he comes back from a turf toe injury, he did spend a lot of time with assistant coach Dabo Swinney.
"Coach Swinney showed us around," said Savage. "They haven't offered me yet but Dabo sent me a text message and asked how I liked it. I told him I loved it and he wrote me back and said, 'Great, because I'm coming to get you.'
