Tide camp impresses '09 star
The past four days, Alabama has hosted some of the nation's top prep prospects during its first round of summer camps. Included on that list is junior offensive lineman Zak Tait who picked up an offer from the Tide staff. Tait, 6-foot-4, 300-pounds, returned from the Capstone with rave reviews.
"I was at Alabama Tuesday for camp and I was treated well. I had a great trip and I loved how the coaches worked us during the drills. I was very impressed because they taught me several new things I didn't know and pushed us hard," Tait said. "I spent a lot of time with Coach (Joe) Pendry and it was a great experience. He's been around for a long time and has great football knowledge. He taught me a lot. But even more important to me was he was a great person too. He didn't talk about recruiting once but just tried to teach me while he had the chance."
