It's been an unbelievable couple of days for Mark Mangino and his staff. On Saturday afternoon, Tanner Hawkinson gave a verbal commitment to Kansas. On Monday afternoon, Tim Biere did the same. This time around, a prospect from the defensive side of the ball gave the nod to Mangino's squad.
Zach Stadther, the 6-foot-2, 275-pound defensive tackle from North Little Rock (AR) High School had an outstanding junior campaign. In all, the two-star prospect was credited with 79 tackles, 35 tackles for loss and 12 sacks.
Stadther, who was being recruited by the likes of Kansas (offer), Arkansas, Auburn, Oklahoma, Vanderbilt, Arkansas State (offer) and Tennessee Martin (offer) became the seventh player from the class of 2008 to give a verbal commitment to the Kansas Jayhawks.
