MVP of Miami camp is in Austin
The Texas Longhorns are always looking for good defensive backs.
Even though the Longhorns have recruited extremely well at the position as of late, you can just never have enough playmakers on the defensive side of the ball. One recruit that will get a very strong look from the Texas coaching staff is 2009 Brownwood (Texas) High athlete Kenny Vaccaro.
The 6-0, 175-pound ball hawking safety has generated quite a buzz with college coaches around the country.
"I just got an offer from Houston yesterday at the camp in Brownwood and then I got defensive MVP at the Miami camp. I think they are going to offer me. Oklahoma is really interested too," Vaccaro said."
With the interest from schools around the country, Longhorn fans have to be asking themselves if their school will eventually get involved. It appears that the answer to this question is yes.
"I'm going to the UT camp on Sunday to see what I can do," Vaccaro said. "I haven't talked to the coaches yet but I know they have been out to the school to see me and Casey (Pachall)."
Vacarro, who was his district's newcomer of the year last year as a sophomore, played a large role in his team's late-season playoff run.
