CHAPEL HILL, N.C. - While Friday night's action was just a bit on the sparse side when it came to the performances by Appalachian State prospects, Saturday turned out to be the exact opposite. In fact, these mid-to-high major targets came out playing as if they were ready to prove something. And prove, they did.
Carolina Raptors roll to big wins
The first game on Mountaineer Illustrated's schedule was the opening 17-Under game on Court 3 at the Dean Smith Center featuring Petey Hausley, Stedman Short and their Carolina Raptors vs. Play Hard Play Smart.
Hausley, who has been one of ASU's top targets for several months now, did not see much playing time on Friday, however, his time increased significantly in the day's opening game. Although he did not start, Hausley found himself on the court for the biggest part of the opening half. During that stretch he scored six points and pulled down a handful of rebounds as he helped the Raptors to a 37-36 halftime lead.
