UCF has stepped forward with an offer for Largo (Fla.) running back Brynn Harvey, who was the 2006 St. Petersburg Times Player of the Year. Harvey, who is 5-foot-10 and 200 pounds, rushed for more than 1,700 yards and 19 touchdowns as a junior.

UCF, USF, Florida State, Florida and others have watched practices.

The Knights are the first to make an offer.
