DALLAS - Jacquies Smith and Kydarian Wilkins are teammates and friends and have been as long as they can remember. Like many high school prospects both have dreamed of playing college football and if possible remaining teammates.

Earlier this spring the South Oak Cliff duo received the opportunity and jumped on it. Kydarian "KY" Wilkins was the first to make the call citing Baylor's faith and willingness to take a chance.

While Wilkins may have caused Smith to take a longer look at Baylor, the 6-4, 220-pound defensive end had other reasons to commit to Baylor.
