Jason Forcier transfers to Stanford
Stanford has landed its biggest and most important commitment in quite some time. Sophomore Michigan quarterback Jason Forcier will transfer to Stanford, according to sources close to the Cardinal program.
Forcier will have two years left to play two when he's eligible to play for the 2008 season. He'll sit out this year, per NCAA rules.
Still, it's a big commitment for Stanford, as Forcier was highly rated coming out of St. Augustine High School in San Diego as member of the 2005 class.
6-foot-2 and 212 pounds now, Augustine was ranked as a three-star prospect, the 15th best dual-threat quarterback in the country and the 28th best player in California. He had offers from Michigan, Oregon, San Diego State, Utah, Arizona State and Colorado.
