Cats jump in mix for red-hot '08 center
One of the many scholarship offers that Billy Gillispie has issued since he became the new head coach at Kentucky is to Washington (Ind.) big man Tyler Zeller.
The Wildcats aren't exactly unique in taking that action, however, as Zeller is rapidly becoming one of the nation's fastest rising players in the Class of 2008. His play in the Real Deal on The Hill and Kingwood Classic AAU events has led to a steady stream of major college interest.
In addition to Kentucky, the 6-foot-10 center/forward has picked up scholarship offers from a list of schools that includes Indiana, Notre Dame, Purdue, Michigan, Minnesota, Tennessee, Illinois, Arizona, Arizona State, Georgia Tech and Wake Forest. He's also drawing strong interest from powerhouse programs like Kansas and North Carolina.
