Sales, Braxton, Murray stop by Storrs
Fort Washington (Md.) Friendly has a reputation for producing some of the top Division I-A talent in the country, including 2007 quarterback Joe Haden, who signed a letter of intent to play at Florida this season.
As a result, assistant coach Marcus Berry has taken trips all over the country, from Ohio State to Florida to Georgia, in search of the right place for some of his players.
He believes he found such a place Thursday when Berry accompanied offensive guard Quinton Sales, cornerback Steve Murray and running back Braxton Shelton on a day trip to Storrs.
Although none of the three walked away from their visit with offers, Berry said Sales, perhaps the most heralded of the trio, is almost a lock to receive one. The 6-foot-3, 280-pound lineman has also garnered interest from Alabama, Maryland and Penn State.
