Beavs watching NW quarterback

Hekker has flown under the radar mainly because he only started one game last year as he played behind a multi-year starter for the Cougars. The Bothell coaches are high on the 6-foot-5, 201 pound player, claiming that he will be Bothell's first Division I recruit in recent memory.
Already drawing the attention of Oregon State coaches, Hekker has been receiving mail from the local Northwest Pac 10 schools and Utah. Interest is expected to ramp up, however, once people get a glimpse of the strong-armed pocket passer.
