Health and harvest as Dawgs begin spring practice
HuskyDigest.com had a chance to catch up with Husky seniors Carl Bonnell, Dan Howell and Jordan Reffet to see what they have to say about the upcoming 2007 season.
Much of water-cooler talk this offseason is who will start at the quarterback position. Head coach Tyrone Willingham addressed the issue.
"Jake Locker would be our quarterback if we had to play a game today. Obviously Carl is still mending, even though I anticipate he will do a lot of spring practice - probably not any direct contact. I'm very comfortable with not making a decision on a quarterback until game week." Willingham went on to say, "I would probably be leaning toward Jake being our starter right now, even if Carl were healthy - but we're still very much in a competition."
