Brady Camp--Redshirt Review
The 2006 class was filled with tight end prospects, one of which was local Oregon product, Brady Camp out of Gresham's Barlow High. Camp, a star for Barlow was one of three players named to the all-state first team for both his play on offense and defense as a senior in 2005, but upon becoming a Beaver, it was decided rather quickly that Camp would focus his attention on offense as a tight end.
Many young tight ends are used as a "H" Back in coach Riley's offense, but Camp has really excelled in blocking. During his first year at Oregon State, Camp feels that he has seen the greatest improvement in his strength and blocking techniques and offensive coordinator Danny Langsdorf agrees.
"Brady fits the mold of a tight end more than an H-back," Langsdorf said.
"He showed a knack for making tough blocks and helping with the running game. At this point he's more of a blocker than receiver."
