Dannehower had a huge junior year
DAYTONA BEACH, Fla.- Since winning the starting quarterback job at Seabreeze High prior to the 2006 season, Troy Dannehower has had his share of success. His performance has led to his emergence as a legitimate Division I prospect for the Class of 2008.
Florida, Louisville, Mississippi State and South Florida are among the college programs that Dannehower has early interest in.
Despite missing two complete games because of injury, Dannehower completed 64 percent of his passes for 1,682 yards and 18 touchdowns through the air and added 897 yards and nine touchdowns on the ground while leading Seabreeze on a deep run in the Florida Class 4A playoffs and a 10-3 overall record.
He was named the Volusia County Player of the Year by the Orlando Sentinel.
"I was just happy to get the starting job," Dannehower said. "After that, everything else was a plus. When I did the nod to start, I was just happy to perform at the level I did."
