Q&A with DT Jeff Owens
The ranking member of UGA's interior line is junior Jeff Owens. The played as a true freshman in 2004, so he has not been around that long. Still, he finds himself the oldest and most experienced of the bunch. Here is a Q&A with the big man from south Florida.
Question: Now that the seniors are gone, you are just a junior but find yourself not only a returning starter, but really all of the leadership for the defensive tackles.
Owens: "The higher you go the more pressure there is, but there is no pressure. We all have the ability to play at this level and we are good. We have probably the most defense, on the defense, at the defensive tackles. We are going to bring a lot to the table."
Question: Ricardo Crawford redshirt last year and Corvey Irvin is a midyear transfer; what have you seen from them after the first week of camp?
