When a college football team has a great running game it usually starts with the offensive line. Texas A&M, which ranked No. 8 in the nation in rushing in 2006, is no exception.
Having a stable of running backs like Mike Goodson, Jorvorskie Lane, Chris Alexander and quarterback Stephen McGee is a lot of help. And even if those toting the ball get all the credit, it's A&M's offensive line that deserves the handshakes.
This is a line that has been in the making ever since head coach Dennis Franchione arrived in College Station. The majority of the line is made up from his first recruiting class in Aggieland. Junior center Cody Wallace, junior tackle Corey Clark and junior guard Kirk Elder are all from the class of 2003.
All three are returning starts and will be in their last spring of their Aggie careers as 2007 will mark their senior seasons.
