Georgia prepares for spring with a new defense
The Georgia Bulldogs will begin the process of rebuilding one of the best defensive in college football last season when they begin spring practice on March 5 in Athens.
Head coach Mark Richt addressed some of the major changes his defense faces heading into spring camp.
The Bulldogs lost seven veteran starters from the 2006 team, but they also redshirted ten freshmen defensive players last season. Coach Richt is excited to see what the redshirt freshmen do in spring camp.
"We redshirted so many defensive players that it will interesting to see how these guys compete and to see if they are ready to play."
In the secondary, Georgia returns all of their cornerbacks from the 2006 team, but they lost one starter at safety
