Junior Day report: Fort Lauderdale
FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla.- First-team Rivals.com Junior All-American offensive lineman Gregory Shaw was among the more than 130 prospects in attendance for the first-ever Rivals.com Junior Day event in South Florida on Sunday at Northeast High.
Shaw, from Miami's Monsignor Pace High, measured in at 6 feet 6, 285 pounds and from the looks of it, showed why he could end up being one of the more highly-recruited linemen in South Florida for the Class of 2008. On the recruiting front, Shaw, the brother of Louisville linebacker Willie Williams, likes Miami (Fla.) and Ohio State at the moment.
"This event was great," he said. "It was very informative. Basically, recruiting is going to be a long process, but it's going to work out in the end."
