Year in Review: Quarterback

HuskerOnline.com It will be hard for any quarterback in the Bill Callahan era to ever duplicate what Zac Taylor accomplished over his two-year Husker career.
Taylor set a school records by passing for 3,197 yards and 26 touchdowns in 2006 and he's also Nebraska's all-time passing leader with 5,850 yards and 45 touchdowns.
However, perhaps the thing Taylor will most be remembered for is the leadership he brought to the program during a time where it was desperately needed.
It's hard to imagine where things would be in Lincoln if head coach Bill Callahan didn't make the Dec. 2 decision in 2004 to offer Taylor a scholarship. Taylor's offer came 13 days before he officially signed his letter of intent to Nebraska.
